WHAT IS YOUR TWIN BROTHER LIKE?

WHAT IS YOUR TWIN BROTHER LIKE? I was asked this question from time to time over many years before I came up with the answer. For that reason, I took special note of the final lines of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, especially the couplet spoken by one of the servants to his new-found brother: “Methinks you are my glass, and not my brother:/ I see by you I am a sweet-faced youth.” For several years this has been my standard answer to being asked what my brother is like: “My brother is a very good –looking man.”

It occurred to me that the children of identical twin brothers are genetically half brothers or sisters rather than first cousins. Correct?

  2. Philip says:

You’re right. Andrew and Molly picked up on this immediately and Andrew, Molly, Annalisa and Nick refer to each other as half brother or half sister.
