BASEBALL DREAMS—FRANK THOMAS. Annalisa dreamed about Frank Thomas two nights ago. She texted Nick a description of the dream, and he posted the description on the Baseball Prospectus/White Sox site. Here it is (I have omitted a couple of emojis):
“Last night I dreamed about Frank Thomas.
He was retired and had this habit of going to sports games and bringing a tape of him and his teammates doing warmup hitting from back in the day. Whatever sport he was about to watch, basketball or football or anything, he brought this tape of himself hitting home run worthy hits to get pumped up for the game. No one else understood this and thought he was trying to draft baseball players or something, but I understood him.
Oh, and he would watch the tape, not just bring it.”
