WAS THE SUBPRIME CRISIS A STROKE OF GOOD LUCK? I read something a little while back which has become more and more plausible as I think about it. Unfortunately I didn’t pay enough attention when I read it to be able to link to it or attribute it. The thought is this: The toxic assets were multiplying so rapidly that we are lucky that the subprime crisis came along when it did and halted the process. It all depends on how you look at things.
