JAPANESE FANS.

JAPANESE FANS. One of my correspondents reported recently on attending a Japanese baseball game between the Hiroshima Carp and the Yomiuri Giants. There was standing room only so there was a choice between the Carp section left field and the Giant section (right field). There were cheerleaders. Each section had a separate cheer for each player. The cheers were complicated—every other fan would alternate beats. There was a special chant for getting a bunt down. The Carp fans had brought a band.
