Noodling consists of catching a catfish with your bare hands, and the sport consists of competing to see who can catch the largest catfish. I was pleased to see the Yahoo front page headlining this article about a fisherman catching a tourney record catfish to win a prestigious regional competition. This article by Pete Thomas in GrindTV.com describes how Kaleb Thomas caught a catfish weighing 70.46 pounds to win the Okie Noodling Tournament. it’s a team sport. His teammates held Thomas by the ankles while he held his breath and wrestled the catfish out of her underground cave.
