“GOOD TASTE IS THE RESIDUE OF SOMEONE ELSE’S PRIVILEGE…..” I would like to endorse this observation by Dave Hickey (from a post listing ten good books that are underrated): “bad taste is real taste, of course, and good taste is the residue of someone else’s privilege….”

I can’t remember the source, but I do remember reading once that everyone believes that he or she has good taste.
I am happy that on occasion I have bad taste. Annalisa just commented that: “I have a theory that you become fond of things that the majority of people underappreciate or outright dislike.”
