CALATRAVA IN CHICAGO. I posted previously on the Turning Torso in Malmo, Sweden. Now Calatrava has designed the Chicago Spire which will have the form of a twisted spire (some members of the public have compared it to giant drill bit). The resemblance to the Turning Torso is obvious. Construction is expected to begin soon. An advantage of the twisted form is that the curved exterior reduces the wind forces that make skyscrapers sway.
