“NOUS TWITTERONS”.

“NOUS TWITTERONS”. I posted here about the official French adoption of the word “mot-diese” for “hashtag”. The Economist ((August 10) reports on other French words for the age of the internet which are closer to English. The article says: “Somebody who tweets can be followé by others.” Thus the verb would be “follower”. And “Twitter has itself been transmuted from an English noun into a French verb.” The headline of the article is: “Nous twitterons”
