PUTTING THE MISSING POST IN SEQUENCE.

PUTTING THE MISSING POST IN SEQUENCE. I had meant the post for January 11 to be juxtaposed with the post for January 10 and for the January 12 post to be a comment on the two preceding posts. The January 10 post (here) had quoted the oncology chief of the FDA for the last 16 years on how, in response to the death of his wife from cancer, he has changed his approach to regulation with a view to speeding up drug approvals. (“It is different when it is your wife”).

The January 11 post had a similar quote from a leading philosopher about his reaction when Alzheimer’s struck close to home (“It is different when it is your mother.”)

The January 12 post (here) then pointed out the the usefulness of utilitarianism when it is not taken to extremes.

I have no idea what happened to the post on January 11.
