BAD LIP READING. Annalisa showed me this Youtube of “The NFL: A Bad Lip Reading”, which provides guesses as to what various National Football League people are saying. I think it’s hilarious. However, “Bad Lip Reading” also applies to me. I have reached a point where it might be helpful to be able to lip read, but I find that without taking note of it, I have spent my listening life avoiding looking at people’s mouths when they are talking. Perhaps I think that it would be impolite. Now, I find the lip reading on the Youtube completely convincing, and can’t work out any alternative even when I know that a player is simply stating his name and his university.
