ANNALS OF TECHNOLOGY—LIGHTING A TOWN WITH MIRRORS. This article in the Guardian tells how the town of Rjukan in Norway has installed three giant mirrors on a hill to provide winter sunshine to the town. The town had previously been in shadow for almost six months a year. The mirrors are controlled by computers.
