WHAT HELLO KITTY MEANS TO ME. When I told Annalisa I was thinking of posting on Hello Kitty, she said that I should mention the importance of Hello Kitty in our family. I gave Mary Jane one Christmas some Hello Kitty stationery that I had come across at Bloomingdale’s. This was the first year that Hello Kitty came to the United States (according to wikipedia, it was 1976.) Mary Jane had never heard of Hello Kitty, and the present was a great success. Mary Jane is still attracted to Hello Kitty stores. There’s one in Rome near the Campo di Fiori.
