HARRY POTTER AND AMERICAN ACCENTS. I was impressed with the American accents of the British actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Gint and Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), as shown here. There was a time when it seemed that when a British actor was asked to do an American accent, it turned out always to be a Southern accent. I especially remember a production where Daisy Miller and her family, from upstate New York—Schenectady, in fact—all had Southern accents.
