RELIVING THE CIVIL WAR DAY BY DAY—THE LONG RECALL. I want to call your attention to a new website (The Long Recall) devoted to the American Civil War. The website is identified as an aggregator, which apparently means that it has the format of links for each day to several newspaper articles with a summary of what the newspapers are saying, much like the realclearpolitics site. It is a sesquicentennial blog, with a entry appearing each day for the news of 150 years before. Since the blog began on November 6, 2010, with the newspaper reports for November 6, 1860, you have a chance to get in at almost the beginning.
