MIRROR NEURONS.

MIRROR NEURONS. The weekend Wall Street Journal has a review article by Christopher Chabris about the discovery of mirror neurons. “If one of your neurons behaves the same way when another person does something as it does when you yourself do the same thing, it is now known as a ‘mirror neuron.'” Consider a person watching another person’s hand movements; the same areas of the brain will be active in both persons. One neuroscientist is quoted as saying that “mirror neurons will do for psychology what DNA did for biology.”
