DANISH BIRTHDAY SCREAMS.

DANISH BIRTHDAY SCREAMS. Annalisa called my attention to another Danish baking challenge—–kagemand—-that she learned about from the Great British Baking Show. This wikipedia entry says: “Kagemand is a Danish cake shaped like a girl or boy which is traditionally eaten at birthdays and anniversaries.”

Annalisa says: “I love that the tradition includes screaming while they cut the head off.” (wikipedia says that “Traditionally, the birthday party starts with the cake figure being decapitated or dismembered, while all the children scream.”)

Here are some images.
