GALAXIES. This article describes ten interesting galaxies. The casual mention of billions of years led me to look up this entry for “galaxy” in wikipedia, which says: “Galaxies range in size from dwarfs with just a few thousand … stars to giants with one hundred trillion … stars, each orbiting their galaxy’s own center of mass.” There are approximately 170 billion to 200 billion galaxies in the observable universe.
