WHAT CAME BEFORE WHATEVER CAME BEFORE THE BIG BANG?

WHAT CAME BEFORE WHAT EVER CAME BEFORE THE BIG BANG? Professor Michio Kaku had an article in the Wall Street Journal (February 13-14) which argues that the new instruments used for the detection of gravity waves may open up a new chapter in astronomy. If instruments “can measure the radiation emitted an instant after the big bang, then, using mathematics, one can run the equations backward to determine what set off the big bang in the first place, in effect answering the biggest question of all: What banged and why?”

When I began this blog nine years ago with a post on the Big Bang, I couldn’t have imagined anybody suggesting this possibility.
