“FLEABAG TIMES SQUARE HOTEL”.

“FLEABAG TIMES SQUARE HOTEL”. Under the heading “Fleabag Times Square Hotel”, the New York magazine article identified a hotel you can stay at today if you want “a touch of the vice-ridden Times Square of the ’60’s and 70’s”. To prove the hotel’s “grittiness”, the article quotes some highly unfavorable comments on Trip Advisor.

My parents and Mary Jane’s parents came to New York to see us one weekend in 1973 or 1974, and they all stayed at a hotel a couple blocks west of Times Square. West of Times Square was dicier than Times Square. Both sets of parents told us about terrifying things they heard in the hallway, which led them to barricade their doors and stay awake all night.
