MY MOTHER AND THE BLIND DENTIST.

MY MOTHER AND THE BLIND DENTIST. I posted here about how my mother once went in person to fire a janitor who had been threatening tenants with a gun. Last week, I mentioned at our short story group that my mother went for several years to a blind dentist and was met with disbelieving laughter. I had almost forgotten about the dentist, but, thinking about it, I can understand the disbelief. It happened that my mother had been going for years to a dentist who gradually lost his sight. From time to time she mentioned to us that she was in doubt about what to do. She liked the man, and kept going to him until he retired. Her new dentist confirmed to her that the man had some mistakes because he couldn’t see.
