PITFALLS OF ARGUING WITH FRIENDS REVISITED (COMMENT).

PITFALLS OF ARGUING WITH FRIENDS REVISITED (COMMENT). Dick Weisfelder commented a couple times on this post. I am reminded of what I said in this post from a couple years ago after a visit from Dick and Chris: “To our consternation, [Dick and I] kept stumbling into areas where we were in agreement. I think if we saw each other more often, we would be able to avoid subjects where we agree.” Dick’s first comment even begins with a point I made in today’s other post about “health-care inflation”: “Your argument says nothing about whether we are getting the best buy for our health money in this or other areas.” Yes, they are separate issues. I think that: “Where we have spent a lot, we have received a lot in return.” as Professor David Cutler is quoted as saying about health care in the David Brown article. I also think there are lots of possibilities for cost savings.
