“AFTERTHOUGHTS ARE STILL THOUGHTS” (COMMENT). Henry Nejako reminds me in a comment of his observation that “Afterthoughts are still thoughts.” For years, I have quoted Henry’s thought (As Henry Nejako says….”), but I missed the connection when I was posting on rewriting by Auden and Henry James.
