LOLCAT. Lolcat is the dialect used on the website icanhascheezburger, where pictures of cute cats are posted, accompanied by captions written in, well, lolcat. Hope refers to the words alone as “lolcat.” However, this wikipedia article says that “lolcat” refers to the picture of the cat combined with the caption and says that the dialect by itself is known as “lolspeak.”) The dialect “parodies the poor grammar typically attributed to Internet slang.” Lolcat does not follow conventional grammar or conventional spelling.
