IS HEALTH CARE SPENDING THE SAME FOR THE RICH AS IT IS FOR THE POOR?

IS HEALTH CARE SPENDING THE SAME FOR THE RICH AS IT IS FOR THE POOR? Yes, according to a study by an economist at the Brookings Institute. This Robert Samuelson article cites a study by Gary Burtless that found that in 2003 in the United States, on average, annual health spending per person was $4,477 for the poorest fifth and $4,451 for the richest fifth. Burtless and Samuelson note that there is no other kind of expenditure where this remarkable parity exists. (link via RealClearPolitics).
