EPHEMERAL ART—SCREEVERS AND DUST.

EPHEMERAL ART—SCREEVERS AND DUST. With cameras everywhere, ephemeral art is not so ephemeral any more. Chalk on sidewalk in rainy England might seem as ephemeral as you can get (I posted on a talented screever here.) But perhaps drawings in dust are even more short-lived. Annalisa called my attention to this site, which features accomplished drawings on dusty car windshields. In the spirit of the screever, some of the drawings are based on Vermeer and Botticelli. The art comes from Central Texas, where there seems to be a lot of dust. Scott Wade, the artist has comments on technique (such as which brushes he uses). Wade enjoys how rain, “tree spit”, dew and additional dust change the drawings.
