THE PROBLEM OF BLOOD (COMMENT).

THE PROBLEM OF BLOOD (COMMENT). I mentioned that, as a result of a series of events, next weekend I will be playing Julius Caesar in the Darien Players production of JULIUS CAESAR. (A real actor will be playing the role for the last two weekends). Dick Weisfelder immediately asked about Caesar’s death scene. It’s an important question. The play is built around the assassination (some say the play is broken in the middle), and it’s important to stage it effectively. The first thought is lots of blood. But how are costumes and floors to be cleaned? Dick, it will be a good, operatic death scene. In fact, it will be done three times, one of which will use strobe lights and red streamers. But no blood.

That was just concern about your wellbeing Phil. I didn’t want you to linger!

  2. Dick Weisfelder says:

After all these years, Phil, everyone will know after next weekend to whom the term “majestic” applies. It was erroniously used in the past.
