Lee, wonderfully apt. I wish I could say that I was thinking of the song, but I don't know it.

Speaking of lyrical, I can't let this opportunity to quote "Once In a Lifetime" by the Talking Heads go to waste:

Letting the days go by / let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by / water flowing underground
Into the blue again / in the silent water
Under the rocks and stones / there is water underground.
Letting the days go by / let the water hold me down

I think Brian Eno wrote the chorus. It certainly sounds like him.

Thank you. No, the poem I love about Connecticut is "The River of Rivers in Connecticut" by Wallace Stevens.

I love the title of this post; it's so lyrical. Did you take it from a poem that I should know? I also love learning this about my hometown. Thank you for posting this.
